Phew! I blinked and Monday was here again! I hope everyone had a great Father’s Day weekend. Mine was another busy (but fun) one. Friday we went to see “It Comes at Night”. It was really good! It reminded me of The Walking Dead in a way, without the zombies haha. I would consider it more of a dark thriller than a horror movie. It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Saturday we went to a birthday dinner for one of our closest friends and then went to a really cool 80’s bar after. It was a great night! In today’s post, I am sharing some details on what I wore, including hair and makeup.
First off, this dress is probably the most comfortable dress I’ve ever worn. It’s super stretchy and flowy so it’s perfect for the summer. I love that you can either dress it up or wear it really casual with light jewelry and cute sandals. It also comes in a light blue floral print that would be perfect for a wedding shower, baby shower, or just brunch with your girlfriends. I opted for the rust color because I felt like it complimented my skin tone a little bit better. I will link the dress here!
I also wanted to be sure that my makeup wouldn’t move, since it’s about 2378656 degrees in San Antonio right now and I wasn’t sure if we would be outside. I went for a glowy, bronzy look, which is my favorite for the summer. Here are a few of the makeup products I used:
- Loreal Pro Glow Foundation – I mix colors 207 and 208 to get my perfect shade
- Tarte Shape Tape Concealer – color Medium
- Morphe 35R Eye Shadow Palette – this palette is amazing and it’s full of golden/bronzy tones
- MAC Blush – color Ambering Rose. This shade is a copper golden color and is beautiful for medium to dark skin tones
- Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer – shade Radiant Bronze Light
- Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder (highlight)- shade Euphoric Strobe Light
- MAC Lipstick – color Whirl (my favorite MAC lipstick)
For my hair, I wanted those “beachy” waves that I love for summer. I had been wearing my hair up all day, so when I took it down to get ready, it was already pretty wavy. I pulled some random strands out and curled them with a wand. Then I sprayed my hair with my DIY Sea Salt Spray, a little bit of Chi Texture Spray, and some hair spray for extra hold, since I knew we might be outside. It took me about 10 minutes to get this hair look!
My earrings and bracelets are all from Francesca’s. Their jewelry is so pretty and it’s very affordable. My clutch is from New York & Company, but I probably bought it close to 5 years ago, so I doubt they still have it haha.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! It’s Monday, which means Bachelorette tonight! I hope you all have a great evening.
xoxo Kristle
