Happy Thursday! If you’re one of those people that doesn’t have the time to spend 30 minutes on your makeup every day but you still want to look put together, then this post is for you! This makeup look is SO easy and quick, you don’t even need foundation.
Foundation is one of my favorite things about makeup, but if you only have 5-10 minutes, it can definitely make the process longer. For this look, I skipped the foundation and just used concealer under my eyes and spot concealed any blemishes or redness. I also skipped the blush and highlight (whaaaaaaat, WHO AM I??).
Step 1: Prime your face. To me, this is an essential step for prepping your face for makeup and for making it last all day long. If you don’t wear primer, chances are your makeup will move throughout the day and end up looking patchy. For this look, I used the Nivea Post Shave Balm. Yes, this is technically a men’s product, but it’s seriously one of the best primers I’ve ever used! Trust me!
Step 2: Apply concealer underneath your eyes to hide those dark circles and spot conceal any blemishes or red areas. Blend with a Beauty Blender or a small foundation brush like this one. I use the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer because the coverage is amazing and blends really easily. I typically use concealer that is a couple of shades lighter than my skin tone, but for this look, you’ll want to use a color that matches your skin tone. I used the color Tan Sand.
Step 3: With a powder brush, set your face, including underneath your eyes, with a lightweight powder. I used MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium Dark. I really like this powder because it gives a very natural finish and you can’t feel it on your face. It doesn’t give much coverage at all, but I actually love that about it, especially for an every day look like this.
Step 4: Apply bronzer to the contours and apples of your cheeks (since you’re skipping the blush), around your hairline, and along your jawline. With a small blending brush like this one, apply more bronzer all over your eyes, through your crease, all over your lid, and along your lash line. You can be messy, it doesn’t have to look perfect. I love putting bronzer on my eyes. It’s a super quick and easy way to make your eyes pop and make you look awake, without having to use any eye shadow. One of my favorite bronzers is the Makeup Forever Pro Bronze Fusion.
Step 5: Fill in your brows with your favorite brow pencil or powder. I prefer brow powder for this look because it’s more natural looking and it’s way faster because it’s not as precise. My favorite is the Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in the color Chocolate. I use this small angled brush to apply. If you don’t fill in your brows then you can skip this step!
Step 6: Load up your top and bottom lashes with your favorite mascara! I’ve been loving the IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara.
Step 7: Apply your favorite lip color. For this look, I like to do a bold color, since the rest of the face is minimal. It brings life to the face and pulls everything together. I love the NYX Creamy Lipstick because it’s sooo inexpensive (under $2) and the pigment and wear-power is actually really great! I’m wearing shade “Violet Ray”.
This whole makeup look usually takes me about 7 minutes to do! I love it so much, not only because it’s fast and easy, but because it really does look like you spent a lot of time getting ready. The bold lip helps with that! I hope y’all enjoyed this post and thanks so much for reading!
