In today’s post, I’ll be talking about some new (and old) drug store products that have become some of my favorites! I love high end makeup, but I also understand that it can get really expensive, and drug store makeup is a fraction of the cost. Plus, many products at the drug store work just as well! In the video below, I use nothing but drug store products, except for on my eyebrows. I explain that in the video. I also wanted to talk about the products that I used that I fell in love with and can tell are going to be products that I use all the time.
Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation – This foundation is SO good. It blends really easily and has great coverage. I don’t like matte foundations, but to me, this one has more of a satin finish. It’s definitely one of my new favorite drug store foundations.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer – I have used this before but because I had the wrong shade, I didn’t grab for it. Now that I have my correct shade, I am obsessed! This concealer is so easy to use and has such great coverage. I can see why so many people love this.
L’Oreal Voluminous Primer – I have recently been using an eyelash primer before I put on mascara and it has made such a huge difference in my lashes! It has also cut down the time I spend putting on mascara. I used to put on at least 10 coats (haha) to get the length and fullness I wanted, and now I just use 2 coats of the primer and 2 coats of mascara and I’m done! This primer is a game changer.
Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder – I am SO impressed with this powder. It gives such a smooth finish and is great to set concealer and foundation. It’s also very finely milled so it doesn’t feel heavy or caky on the skin. This powder would also be perfect for those “no makeup makeup” days because you could just dust it all over your face and it would give you a little bit of coverage while still looking really natural.
L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara – In my opinion, this is the best drug store mascara out there. I love the small wand, because it doesn’t get all over my lid and it’s great for your lower lashes. This mascara also doesn’t bleed throughout the day like most drug store mascaras do.
Maybelline City Mini Eyeshadow Palette – I typically don’t like drug store eye shadows because they’re normally really powdery, not pigmented, and just don’t stay on. This palette is quite the opposite. All of the shadows are really creamy and pigmented and blend perfectly. Not to mention the colors are gorgeous.
Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso – By far my favorite drug store blush! I think this color is perfect for every skin tone and it just gives your skin the most beautiful peachy glow. I think this is the perfect every day blush.
Out of all the products I used, these were the ones that I really fell in love with. I liked the bronzer, but I don’t think it will be one that I grab for. Also, after setting my face with setting spray, I actually did end up liking the highlighter. I think it gave a really natural glow after it set, but definitely not one I am going to be grabbing for very often.
