One of the weekends we look forward to every year is our annual trip out to Lake Livingston to go visit my best friend Sam and her parents. A group of our friends gets together and we just hang out, play games, swim in the lake, eat, DRINK, etc… This year it was a rainy/gloomy weekend, which was actually really great because it wasn’t as miserably hot as it normally is.
On Friday, we hung out at the dock at night, which we don’t typically do. But this was one of my favorite moments of the weekend. As cliche as it sounds, we sat out and watched the stars and listened to music, and it was just the coolest thing. The sunset was also really beautiful that night.
On Saturday, we spent the day out on the lake swimming, eating, listening to music, and riding the jet skiis. We played a lot of games and drank a lot of beer. What else are lake trips for? Sunday was the rainy day, so we ventured out and went to the movies to see The Meg. Don’t see it. It was probably one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. But nonetheless, we had the best time and had a pretty good laugh. I also really loved the local theatre. It was a tiny, $3 a ticket, typical small town movie theatre, and it was awesome!
We had one of the best lake weekends ever, and I can’t wait to go back. Sam’s parents are always so generous and make us feel right at home. Not to mention, they keep our bellies super full with some amazing food! I put together a short vlog of our trip. I hope y’all love it! I think we will be making another trip to the lake in January when it’s cold!
