Welcome to my blog! My name is Kristle — a wife, daughter, and dog mom living the happy life in Austin, TX. In October 2014, I married the strongest, most positive man, and I’m so lucky to have him. He has made me better in more ways than I can count. I am an only child and am very close to my mom. She’s the coolest, most supportive woman on the planet!
Me in a nutshell: a melting pot. I’m the girl that will spend an hour doing my makeup just because it’s fun. But I’m also the girl that will spend an entire Sunday watching football. I find it very hard to describe myself and my interests in just a few words because I am passionate about so many things. That is partly why I started KristleLauren.com in May of 2017. I wanted an outlet to share my love for beauty, makeup, fashion, books, travel, food…the list goes on! Some of my favorite things include lounging in my PJs and binging on Netflix, going to dinner and movies, watching true crime documentaries, reading a good mystery book, and enjoying a really good margarita or glass of wine. I am coffee obsessed and love spending days at coffee shops and book stores. I really enjoy helping my girlfriends out with their makeup and styling an outfit for them…almost more than I enjoy doing it for myself! My dream home consists of a mix of all white everything, wood beams, sliding barn doors, lots of shiplap, and super high ceilings. Can anyone relate?! I mean…a girl can dream! My favorite time of year starts in October and ends in February. I am a sucker for cold, rainy, gloomy weather. For some reason, it just puts me in a great mood. Is that opposite of what it should be? I think I might’ve been a vampire in another life.
I was in the corporate world for 10 years, and let’s just say….I was unhappy and stuck in a job I hated. I was lost. This blog has helped me find myself again. I get to express my true self and passions, and nothing is better than that. I want KristleLauren.com to be a place of positivity, fun, and inspiration.
