Happy Monday! This weekend flew by and I’m sad it’s over. We spent the weekend on Lake Livingston at my best friend’s parent’s house. We had the best time! It was HOT HOT HOT but we surprisingly survived haha. The house is right on the lake, and there’s also a boat dock that we relax on for a good portion of the weekend. The pics below show the back area of the house, so you can see how easily accessible the lake and dock are. I LOVE the backyard. When we are there in the cooler months, we spend a lot of time playing games in the yard and hanging out on the porch. Even though I’ve been many times, I never get over the view walking out onto the porch every morning.
In the summer, the dock is our favorite place to be because there’s a nice breeze and we can just relax, lay out, listen to music, and of course, drink. We can also jump into the lake whenever we want! The views of the sunset are also pretty incredible.
On Friday, we took a boat ride to a nearby lakeside restaurant called Farmhouse on the Lake. It was so cool to travel by boat rather than by car. We had some amazing desserts there, that I’m drooling thinking about! It was such a cute place with some really nice views of the lake. I would love to go back again when it’s not so hot and sit out on the dock and eat. Judging by their dessert, their food is probably just as good!
We had such a great weekend, and I can’t wait to go back. We are thinking of going in December so that we can hang out on the porch (without melting), play yard games, make fires, and eat s’mores. Weekends like this make me feel so lucky to have such great friends and an amazing husband who I can make these memories with. Life is good!
