Happy Monday, friends! I just got back from Denver, where we were celebrating my friend Naomi’s upcoming wedding. We had the best time and we pretty much just ate and drank our way through the city! I had some of the best meals of my life and I can’t wait to go back. I’ll list out the places we went that I loved, and you’ll see most of them in the vlog!
Sassafras American Eatery: We had the best milkshakes EVER here! I had the Southern Praline Crunch, and OMGGG I can’t even explain how good it was. Their food was also out of this world amazing. I would consider it southern style brunch, with a twist. I had the Mac n’ Cheese, of course…because I can’t pass up good Mac n’ Cheese, and the girls had things like fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, and potato casserole.
Mezcal Mexican Restaurant – We stopped here to have a quick drink because it was walking distance from where we stayed, and we ended up staying for a few hours. I really liked the atmosphere, and they had every Mexican beer I can think of! We ended up having the nachos to munch on and they were really good! I also more than approved of their chips and salsa….so that’s saying a lot!
Fire on the Mountain – Said to be the best wings in Denver…..and I can’t doubt it! Wings is one of my favorite foods, and I’ve definitely had my fair share of great ones, but these put all of them to shame. They were perfectly crispy, and their sauces weren’t like anything I’ve ever tasted. Not to mention, their chili cheese fries and fried pickles were insanely good! This was definitely my favorite meal of the trip.
Ted’s Montana Grill – We stopped here for Happy Hour after shopping, and it was the perfect place for us to just relax and have a few drinks. Their booths were really cozy and the atmosphere was very nice. It’s a great location because there are tons of stores and shops right around it, so it’s an ideal place to stop for a drink after or during a day of shopping.
Little Man Ice Cream – We loved it here!! It looked like a vintage style ice cream stand, and their flavors were so different. I wish it had some sort of indoor space, because it was COLD, but overall, the ice cream was great and the atmosphere was the cutest.
Denver Biscuit Co. – My mouth is watering just thinking of the food! It’s the epitome of southern style breakfast. We all had The Franklin, which was a homemade biscuit with fried chicken, cheese, bacon, and sausage gravy smothered all over it. I meannnnnn, do I have to say anymore?! It’s also a great spot because it’s inside the Stanley Marketplace, which is a a big indoor market full of shops, food, and booze. We spent our last day here and it was so much fun.
I hope y’all like the vlog! I feel like all we did was eat hahah. Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel and thanks so much for reading/watching!
